American Standard’s own Trade Up is our commitment to the future of the plumbing industry, helping train, support and inspire the next generation of skilled trade professionals. From students exploring career paths to employees looking for a fresh start,  Trade Up encourages more people to build a rewarding career in plumbing.

While many see the impact that plumbers have on sanitation and hygiene, millions around the world still lack the proper infrastructure to support indoor plumbing systems. LIXIL is helping address this challenge through SATO  by providing safer sanitation solutions  for over 100 million people around the world.

For nearly 10 years, LIXIL has partnered with Tools & Tiaras (T&T), a nonprofit organization  founded by licensed plumber Judaline Cassidy that introduces young girls to careers in the skilled trades., Through hands-on summer camps and educational programs, girls ages 6-17 explore opportunities across the industry, from plumbing and engineering to design and sustainable development, helping inspire the next generation of trade professionals. 

LIXIL Public Partners brings together governments, private sector organizations, NGOs and local communities to help solve sanitation, housing and water challenges in communities around the world. The organization acts as a connector and facilitator: bringing together the right partners to address barriers to water and sanitation access, system performance and long-term sustainability.

In Lowndes County in Alabama, many families still face serious sanitation challenges due to aging and inadequate wastewater infrastructure. To help address this, we launched a pilot program providing 100 homes with tailored solutions designed to treat and filter wastewater based on their specific needs.

LIXIL is proud to partner with multiple organizations that share our commitment to addressing critical challenges in plumbing, sanitation and hygiene. By working with organizations including IAPMO (International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials) and PMI (Plumbers and Manufacturers International), we gain firsthand insights into the real world impact of the skilled labor shortage, helping us  to collaborate on solutions that expand access, strengthen communities, and support the future of the industry.
