The PremiAL series lineup includes PremiAL for standard products with 50% fewer CO2 emissions, plus made-to-order PremiAL R70 containing 70% recycled aluminum and PremiAL R100 containing 100% recycled aluminum.
LIXIL has established its own material supply routes to secure a stable supply of aluminum scrap, which is processed at in-house melting facilities. The molten metal is purified, then poured into circular molds and cooled to form cylindrical billets. These billets are loaded together with dies into an extrusion press, where high pressure is applied to create aluminum extrusions. Finally, the extrusions undergo heat treatment to ensure they retain the required strength.
We recycle not only manufacturing scrap, but also recover end-of-life products as post-consumer aluminum for reuse in new production.
Using recycled materials reduces environmental impact, but also requires significant effort and cost—including collection of used aluminum products and sorting to remove non-recyclable components and impurities. Aluminum recycling depends on both technology and a stable supply of raw materials. LIXIL has been working to overcome these challenges for nearly 30 years.
